Shalom “Shay” Ashlynn Hajovsky

Shalom “Shay” Ashlynn Hajovsky was only with us for 9 months, but she is forever in our hearts! Straight from the womb to the arms of Jesus, she was never alone. 

Shalom is the Hebrew word for peace and stems from the beautiful verse John 14:27 that is sustaining the Hajovsky family right now:

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 

Ashlynn comes from Isaiah 61:1-3

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair..

Shay is survived by her father, Daniel; her mother, Liz; her brothers, Samuel, Simon and Stephen; and her sister, Shira Grace. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents and great grandparents. 

The visitation will be held at Central Church on Friday, September 6th, at 4 pm, followed by the funeral service at 5 pm.

The Shalom "Shay" Aslynn Hajovsky Memorial Trust Fund

Our family will be starting a fund in honor of Shay. This fund will be used to bless other families: to financially support those who incur medical expenses from sudden, unexpected diagnoses of their children.

"Shalom" means peace. Through this fund, we hope to continually bring peace to many others in the midst of their difficulties and burdens.
