Mildred Diane Gandy

Mildred Diane Gandy passed peacefully from this life to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Diane was born on September 12, 1947 in Bryan, TX to Malcolm and Geneva Gandy and grew up in Pasadena, TX.

Diane married Garth E. Fletcher and they raised three children together: Tammy Diane Hood, Garth Malcolm Fletcher, and Laurie Christine Chandler. In 1978, she moved to Gause, TX where she resided for 40 plus years, before moving to the house and neighbors she loved in Franklin, TX in 2020.

Diane’s most cherished titles were “Mom” and “Granny Diane.” Her life was defined by her love of God, her kids, grandkids, and family. A humble and selfless giver by nature, Diane poured herself into her family through her unconditional love and nurturing spirit.  

She was an active member of Pentecostals of Hearne, where the church embraced her and became an extension of her family. Diane enjoyed her annual family camping trips to the Comal and Frio Rivers, gardening in her flower beds, travel, and praise/worship music. Most of all, she loved baking and cooking for family, friends, and neighbors.

She is survived by her three children; one sister- Sondra Sheppard; father of her children, Garth E. Fletcher; 10 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Geneva Gandy.
