Mark A. Gomez, age 52, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 21, 2022.
He was born on January 20, 1970, in Calvert, Texas, the son of Pedro Jr. and Janie Gomez.
Mark welcomed the birth of his daughter, Ciara in June 1989. On September 26, 1998, he married the love of his life, Maria, thus creating their blended family. Mark and Maria spent 24 years together, until his passing.
In 2008, Mark helped create and become co-owner of Gomez and Romero Services. He loved working, dancing, singing, family trips, watching westerns, being a positive role model and a father figure to others; but mostly, Mark loved spending time with his entire family. Mark knew no limits, he would reach for the sky and go beyond the stars. Mark was proof that God is good and that God was real, for he himself was a walking miracle.
Mark is survived by his wife, Maria Gomez; his children, Ciara (Jason) Evans, Juan (Stephanie) Romero, Stephen Romero, Stephen A. Romero II, Enrique (Libia) Fabian, Jessica (Luis) Resendiz and 13 grand children; his mother, Janie Gomez; his siblings, Pedro M. “Peter” Gomez III, Paul Gomez, JoAnn (Brian) Rabe, Michael Gomez, Michelle (Alejandro) DeLeon and Thomas (Danny) Gomez-Guzman.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Pedro M. Gomez, Jr.
Even though Mark has gone to be with the Lord, he will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, popo, son, sibling, uncle and friend.
