Maribeth Rhodes Allen

Maribeth (Beth) “Bon Bon” Rhodes Allen was born on January 18, 1931, in Hearne Texas and passed away peacefully at the age of 92 ½ on September 5, 2023.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Mary Elizabeth Rhodes (of Hearne), her siblings CT (Buba) Rhodes, Julia Ada Rhodes and John Rhodes.

Beth also preceded in death by her son Steven Allen and the father of her children Dr. Robert Allen.

Beth is survived by, her daughter, Janet Allen and Nancy Allen, her grandchildren, Tiffany Chandler (Jeff), Corey Lemmond, Lacey Lemond, Robert Allen (Raven) and Matthew Allen.

She is also survived by her two great grandsons, Brennen Taylor and Blaine Chandler

Beth grew up in Hearne Texas. She was drum major at Hearne high school. After high school she attended Baylor university in Waco. After Baylor, she married Bobby Allen of Hearne, and moved to Port Arthur, Texas.

After Bobby Allen was accepted to UTMB Medical School, they lived in Galveston before moving and settling in Garland, Texas where she raised her family.

Most of her live Beth worked in the banking industry at North Park Bank and CoMerica Bank.

Beth loved playing tennis in her younger years. In her older years, she loved playing Bingo, going to the movies, going on road trips with family and trying different restaurants. Beth was a very loving and giving person.

Even though she didn’t have a lot, Beth would give you her last dime… and her last $2.00 bill.

Beth was loved by all that knew her. She was funny, sweet and kind and loved Jesus.
