Guadalupe "Lupe" Rodriguez

Guadalupe “Lupe” Rodriguez was born January 8th, 1937, in Hearne, TX to Rafael Trujillo and Gabriella Mendoza. Lupe was the 6th of 14 children. 

She met Raymond Rodriguez and the two were married on December 4th, 1954. She had two children, Margaret Rodriguez and Raymond Rodriguez Jr.

 Lupe lived in Hearne her entire life. 

She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was a member of the altar society. She devoted her life to being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Two words often used to describe Lupe are caring and feisty. Some of her family members often refer to her as a second mother. Many have memories of spending time with her on holidays, special occasions and at her home having a cup of coffee and a meal. She enjoyed word searches, coloring and playing games.

Lupe went to be with the Lord on September 15th, 2024, in Bryan, TX. She is survived by her grandson Steven Rodriguez and his wife Darla; granddaughter Amanda Walker and her husband Joseph; great-grandchildren Vivian Walker, Jessica Walker and Raymond Walker; brothers Johnny Trujillo, Paul Trujillo, Ralph Trujillo, Richard Trujillo and Vicky Gomez. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.

 She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Rodriguez Sr.; daughter Margaret Rodriguez; son Raymond Rodriguez Jr.; brothers Robert Trujillo, Luz “Butch” Trujillo, Joe Trujillo, Manuel Trujillo, James Trujillo; and sisters Dolores Vaca, Mary Caudillo and Rosie Perez.
