Eddie Len Nelson

Eddie Len Nelson, 59, of Franklin, Texas, gained his wings on August 4, 2024, in Bryan, Texas at St. Joseph Hospital.

Eddie was born in Hearne, Texas on February 26, 1965, to Louis Edward and Virginia Ladell Nelson.

Eddie was a devoted father, papa, brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, riding around town in his truck with his dog, gambling, fishing, and as we all know, he loved football; especially when the Super Bowl rolled around.

Eddie lived a life filled with passion, purpose and unwavering determination. He embraced every challenge with grace and faced adversity with unwavering strength. Throughout his journey, he touched the lives of countless people with his kindness, wisdom, and infectious laughter.

As a devoted father, Eddie Len Nelson nurtured a loving and close-knit family. He was a loving father to Tiffany Ruiz and Crystal Nelson as well as a charming papa to his grandchildren, James Grimaldo Jr., Aaron Mejia, and Araceli Mejia. 

Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Edward and Virginia Ladell Nelson.

He is survived by his two children, Tiffany Ruiz (Zack) and Crystal Nelson (James), his grandchildren, James Grimaldo Jr., Aaron Mejia, Araceli Mejia, his two sisters, Patricia Nelson and Tammy Nelson, his brother, Billy Nelson and numerous nieces and nephews.
