David Ray Cassada, age 76, of Willis Tx., peacefully passed away in his sleep on December 1st, 2024. He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
David was born in McCreary County Ky. and spent much of his early life developing a deep love for nature, often spending summers with family in the hills of Kentucky. He carried this love for the outdoors throughout his life. During his life David pursued a multitude of careers and hobbies that included serving in the US Army, working on railroads, driving and maintaining diesel trucks, and restoring hotrods. David was a talented mechanic and a true car enthusiast who could often be found tinkering with various types of engines.
He will be remembered for his kind and generous personality, his love for his family, and his passion for working on cars and raising Great Danes. His dedication to his loved ones and his hardworking nature made him cherished by many.
David is survived by his son, David R. Cassada II of Corsicana, TX; his daughters, Cassandra (Jody) Cassada of Corsicana, TX, Samantha Cassada of Franklin, TX, and Mary O. Cassada of New Waverly, TX; his four sisters, Brenda Boggs, Ollie Anthony, Louise Clinehens, and Wilma Persons; as well as five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Connie L. Cassada; his grandchildren, David Ray Briar Cassada and Haleigh Necole Cassada; his mother, Opal Bedford; his father, Brit (Hoppy) A. Cassada; his brothers, Gerald Cassady and Brit A. Cassada Jr.; and his sister, Wanda Lewis.
David's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy will be cherished by his family and friends.
