Curtis Glenn Barnett

Curtis Glenn Barnett, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Elliot, Texas on September 29, 2024. 

He was born on August 22, 1941, to Samuel Alton and Edna Lorene Gandy Barnett. 

He attended Franklin ISD and graduated at the age of 18. After graduation, he worked for Crane Plumbing for numerous years and retired after 18 years from Tx Dot. 

He married Patricia Lynn Ryan Barnett on October 26, 1996, and they were married for 28 years. 

He lived his life in Elliot, Texas, enjoying the outdoors, hunting, fishing, horseback riding and riding the 4-wheeler. Most of all he enjoyed making loving memories with his grandchildren. 

He loved to travel, his favorite place to go was the Colorado Mountains. He would take his wife and children camping there and go hunting with friends.

He leaves behind wonderful memories and will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind. 

He was survived by his wife, Patricia Lynn Barnett, his children, Timothy Glenn Barnett Sr., Tammy Ann Barnett and Terri Lea Barnett (Hall), 2 step sons, Walter Caroll Commander and his wife Gina, Marvin Ray Commander and his wife Nichole, 10 grandchildren, Timothy Glenn Barnett Jr. and Christy, Danielle Barr and Nick, Brittany Bruno and Nick, Chris Commander and Jordan, Kristen Flores and Andy, Casey Cooke and Allison, Stephen Commander and Gracie, Taylor Commander and Aaron, Mckenzie Commander and Josey Commander. His sister, Joyce Elaine Barnett. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Alton Barnett, his mother, Edna Loren (Gandy) Barnett, 3 brothers, Duane Barnett, Charles Lewis Barnett, Elvin Ray Barnett, 2 sisters, Doris Faye Santistevan and Gloria Carolyn Kochain.
