Chris Nichols, 52, of Bryan (Tabor), passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2024, in Houston at Baylor St. Luke’s Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held to honor Chris at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Cottonwood Baptist Church in Tabor.

Chris was born on Tuesday, December 21, 1971, four days before Christmas, to his parents Charles Roland and Linda Joyce Baker Nichols, in Bryan. Chris will be remembered as an independent thinker and one who was always seeking adventures of various sorts. He loved to work with computers and electronics in addition to becoming a talented guitar player and musician. He was a vocal support for various local performing artists in the Bryan-College Station area. He was always ready for a good “gig” that he would enjoy and seek a newness to add to his experience as a musician.

He is preceded in death by his wife Heidi; his maternal grandparents Hulon and Maudell Baker; paternal grandparents Albert and Gusta Nichols; uncles Jim Williams and Danny Davis.

He is survived by his stepson Steven Cooley and partner Dominic Lee, of Dallas; his parents, Charles and Linda Nichols; his sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Victor Alderete; his brother, Tim Nichols; his aunts and uncle; a host of cousins; and his beloved nieces and their children.
