Anita Kathryn Dore

Anita Kathryn Dore’ of Houston Texas, passed unexpectedly on 12-23-22. Her family is deeply saddened and shocked by her death. Anita was born on June 8, 1959 in Austin, attended Lutheran High School, and lived in Houston most of her life. She will be laid to rest in a private funeral at the Calvert Cemetery in Calvert Texas.

Anita graduated from Modern Barber School and enjoyed cutting and styling hair for many years. Anita loved to read, write, and was very crafty. She enjoyed painting, building things out of wood, and repurposing anything from furniture to old window frames. Anita found the beauty in everything, even when no one else could. Anita enjoyed being around people the most. Anita never met a stranger, everyone she did meet loved her. Everyone who knew Anita, knew how special she was, that she was full of life and a bit fisty.

Anita is preceded in death by her father Gerald Stock. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Lila and Bud Smith, brother Joe Stock, daughter Nicole Roberts with Jason Fournet, son Christopher Long and his wife Paloma Long, stepson Robby Long, two grandchildren Savanah and Thomas Fournet, former Husband Robert Long, and an abundance of friends. We will miss her more than words can say.
